Few players have sat down at a Brownlow Medal count as strong a favourite as Patrick Dangerfield. Dangerfield’s year following a switch from the Adelaide Crows can only be described as one for the record books and was capped off winning the 2016 Brownlow Medal.
Before the count Dangerfield had collected numnerous awards for his 2016 season including the Players’ Association MVP, the Coaches’ Association player of the year along with many more media determined awards. However this was the night of nights that counted and Danger didnt let anyone down.
Not only did Dangerfield accumulate the ball, he was dynamic, sprinting from clearances, taking big marks and kicking goals. Dangers play excited football fans as his strength and power defied all associated with our great game.
