One of the most prolific ballwinners of the modern era, Neale’s accolades confirm his credentials as one of our game’s all-time great midfielders. Leading the club to yet another top-two finish despite being the opposition’s defensive target week in week out, Neale remains the premier midfielder in the Lions squad and has been instrumental in the Club’s incredible run of on-field success in recent years. It’s been nearly a century since Hall of Fame Legend Haydn Bunton won three Brownlows for the Fitzroy Lions – and it would be brave to think Lachie Neale won’t soon be matching him.
