His 2002 Melbourne Cup win aboard Media Puzzle is one of the most iconic racing moments of the modern era; his partnerships with Doriemus, Alinghi, Fiorente, Northerly and Schillaci form part of Victorian racing folklore. Damien Oliver’s farewell means the end of an era for Australian racing, but the legacy he leaves will never be forgotten.
