The hardest worker, the cleanest hands and the most accurate right boot in the West; Josh Kennedy farewells the AFL as one of the Eagles’ all-time legends. 15 seasons in the blue and gold have seen Kennedy amass a wealth of individual and team accomplishments – seven Club leading goalkickers (and counting), multiple Colemans and, of course the ultimate triumph in 2018. The willingness to compete in the air and at ground level, his sharp shooting in front of the big sticks and remarkable season-by-season consistency have been the basis for so many plaudits but ultimately, in the Club’s decorated history, one Eagle stands apart atop the all-time goalkicking honour roll – and by some margin. That achievement alone confirms JK’s place in the West Coast Eagles pantheon of greats.
