Superstar Patrick Cripps has taken the honours as this year’s Brownlow Medallist after being touted as a favourite from the outset. Cripps’ 2022 campaign started exceptionally well, polling 25 of a possible maximum 30 votes in the AFLCA MVP over the first three rounds, however he succumbed to a hamstring injury which fortunately only kept him out for one game. A fearless leader and dominant ball winner, the Carlton champ has deserved the recognition he’s received as frontrunner for the accolade all season. Undoubtedly one of the premier midfielders in the AFL, the All-Australian has added to his trophy cabinet as a previous three-time John Nicholls Medallist and Leigh Matthews Trophy winner back in 2019
