Olympics – “Winter Gold” Signed Lithograph
Australia first competed in the Winter Olympic Games in 1936 and has been at every games except one since then and yet it was not until the 2002 Games in Salt lake City that we won our first ever Gold Medals – Steven Bradbury in the 1,000 m short track speed skating and Alisa Camplin in the aerials, followed by Dale Begg-Smith’s Gold in the freestyle skiing at the 2006 Games in Turin. In the recent 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver, Torah Bright came home with the gold in the snowboarding half pipe while Lydia Lassila heroically triumphed the opposition to win the gold in the freestyle skiing. Australia is the only country in the Southern Hemisphere to have ever won a Winter Olympic Gold Medal.
To commemorate these Gold Medal performances the AOC is proud to release this limited edition lithograph hand signed by our Gold Medal Winners.
